Welcome to the website of the Devon, Cornwall & West Somerset
Continental Flying Club.
We are a club that races pigeons. We are based in the Counties of Devon, Cornwall & West of Somerset including those living in the district Council areas of West Somerset, Taunton Deane and the south section of Sedgemoor.
We are set up to organise and promote pigeon racing in our area.
In our club we race across country from different race points East to West over a short distance of about 120 miles in preparation for ‘channel racing’, where our birds are taken over the Channel to France in large transporters to be liberated with birds from all over the country in races run by the National Flying Club, BICC, BBC and the CSCFC.
Our blue riband race is from Tarbes with the NFC in the foothills of the Pyrenees and is some 570 miles in a direct line to our lofts, with a 100 mile crossing of the channel if you live at Exeter and three times that if you live in Penzance!
We welcome new members to our club whether you are a returnee to the sport after several years away or fancy a change or if you are a new starter we will do everything to help you start in this wonderful hobby.
On this site you will find latest club news and race results with liberation times of club races.
